설명
기본 — 주어 단복수에 동사 일치
✓ He plays soccer. (단수 + s)
✓ They play soccer. (복수)
✓ The book is on the table.
✓ The books are on the table.
함정 1 — 주어와 동사 사이 수식어구 무시
수식어가 길어도 진짜 주어로 일치.
✓ The boy with two dogs is my brother.
(주어 = boy 단수 → is)
✓ The students who are in this room are mine.
(주어 = students 복수 → are)
함정 2 — 집합명사 (family / team / class)

미국 영어는 단수가 흔함. 시험에선 보통 단수 답.
함정 3 — 상관접속사 — 가까운 주어 룰

as well as 는 다른 룰 (A 가 기준) — 시험 함정.
함정 4 — every / each / no + 명사 → 항상 단수
✓ Every student has a book. (every + 단수 + 단수동사)
✓ Each of us has a book.
✓ No man is perfect.
함정 5 — neither / either + of + 복수 → 단수
✓ Neither of them is here. (둘 다 단수 동사)
✓ Either of the books is fine.
함정 6 — 일부 명사 단복수 함정

함정 7 — 거리/시간/돈 단위 — 단수
✓ Ten miles is a long distance. (한 묶음)

함정 8 — there is / there are
진짜 주어는 be 동사 뒤. 그것에 일치.
✓ There is a book on the table.
✓ There are many books on the table.
✗ There is many books.
